2008 Fishing Reports

Updated:08/10/08

Well, August is here already, what happened to our warm summer?

Since fishing is how I make my living, I couldn't let the weather dictate

whether or not I went fishing. Here are some pics from July.

This is Stan from Maine, with a nice Kasilof king

Jackie from Australia, with a beautiful Kasilof hen.

July is the month where different species of fish can be targeted.

So, red salmon were next on the agenda.

And to top off the fish trifecta, I targeted rainbows all through the month of July. Like I've always said, " you can truly tell who the top rainbow guides are, they are the ones fishing for trout in July," A monkey can catch fish in September! Enough said.

I had a client land a 30 in. rainbow on the Kenai in July,

that's pretty much unheard of that time of year.

Hopefully he will send the pics, as my camera was in the shop being repaired.

July means high water, and usually, lots of red salmon in the river

dispersing the trout. But, if you know where to look, there are some nice fish to be found!

Here's Mike, with a beautiful rainbow and nice dolly!

Here are some rainbow pictures from this past week.

Here's Tamara releasing a nice fish. lol.

Skyler with a nice bow!

These fish are beautiful!

Here's Stan from Idaho, who fished here in 2006, with a monster.

He lost one earlier that day, that made this one look like a minnow.

To put the size of this fish in perspective,

Stan stands at 6ft. 5in.

08/12/08...They're here!!!!!!
